After speculation over the past year, Blake Shelton officially announced he will be leaving The Voice after season 23.
Blake has been there every season since the singing competition kicked off in 2011, making him the only judge in their chair to do so. "I've been wrestling with this for a while and I've decided that it's time for me to step away from The Voice after season 23," Shelton said in a statement.
The show is currently in it's 22nd season so fortunately for fans, they'll get another season to watch the eight time winner. Blake has also coached 15 artists who have gone No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs chart. Will The Voice go after another Country singer to take his place? I'd assume so. Especially because Country artists do so well on the show.
Chance The Rapper, Niall Horan and Kelly Clarkson will sit beside Blake on his final season, next year.
